David and ALL THE WOMEN! from a dream sequence on "Kings". If a story (the original text, that is) that is by no means anything close to feminist can still feature many full realized, believable women who do things, nobody else has an excuse. None.

I went back and edited it after, but I apologize for, when I mentioned the Ruth story, not originally including the fact that it is also famous as a story about an extremely strong and close female friendship. Not bringing that up in a long rant about feminism in the Bible is ironic in the way rants about spelling/grammar often include a spelling and/or grammar mistake.

In fact, passages from the story of Ruth are often used in lesbian weddings.
